It’s March 8th, which means it’s time to celebrate and highlight all of the women in our lives in honor of International Women’s Day! Here at butter LONDON, we celebrate women everyday by lifting each other up and always offering a helping hand. This week on the blog, we want to highlight things to help you feel empowered on this special holiday, including an interview with butter LONDON’s General Manager Julie Campbell and other products recommendations to inspire you.
Julie Campbell is the mastermind behind the brand and we celebrate her each and every day! Julie has more than 30 years in the beauty industry and has been the General Manager for butter LONDON for the past four years. Not only is Julie the GM of butter LONDON, but she is also the General Manager of our sister brand PÜR, is the EVP of Astral, butter LONDONS parent company, and is also the CMO of all brands under the Astral name. Julie is one of the hardest working women we know, which is why we wanted to highlight her specifically this week. We interviewed Julie and asked her a few questions in honor of International Women’s Day:
Q: What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
“For me, International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the past and to honor the future. It is a privilege to be able recognize the generations before us that worked hard to make a positive difference for women. It is also empowering to witness the rising generations of girls and women on a collective path for continued change.”
Q: What is your favourite part of working with a team of women for women?
“My favorite part of working with a team of women is the true passion and energy they bring to work every single day. Women are typically very resilient with killer instincts, and this makes them exceptional leaders and colleagues.”
Q: How do women inspire you in your job- creating products, campaigns + more?
“As the mom of two girls, I have always made it my mission to create products that inspire and delight - that make you feel good. I believe it is my opportunity to help change the narrative within the beauty industry to protect and preserve a woman’s mindset.”
Q: What butter LONDON product creates a part in your routine to empower you during your day?
